Billy Conran

Associate Architect

Billy joined Project Orange in 2018 and has since worked on projects in a wide range of sectors across the UK and Ireland including residential, retail, office and hotel. Most recently he has been working on the delivery of the Ashbocking houses project in Suffolk.

Billy graduated in 2016 after completing his architectural studies at University College Dublin. This included an Erasmus semester at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura in Madrid. Prior to the completion of his studies, Billy gained valuable experience working for ARR international in Shanghai and as a volunteer architect with Building Trust International in Cambodia.

Before joining Project Orange, Billy honed his residential design skills working at Fallon Kelly Associates, a practice based in Ireland, who specialize in bespoke one-off homes. Billy moved to London in 2017 and began working at ZAP Architecture. At ZAP, he worked on numerous meanwhile use projects ranging from outdoor cinemas to rooftop Pergolas.

Outside of work at Project Orange, Billy is an avid hurling player (which is a popular Irish sport) and he has completed a body of work that was exhibited in the Irish Pavilion at the 2018 Venice Biennale.
