Fritton Lake

Sector

Food + Drink

The project is to design a club house at Fritton Lake. Our approach uses low carbon regenerative principles and splits the function into two buildings with biodiverse planted roofs.

Key to the setting is the creation of a gravel garden that connects the pavilions to the swimming pool and Victorian garden wall beyond. The outer facing walls are clad in timber harvested from the Estate, punctured with steel opening windows, while the timber structural frame is locally sourced. Around the boundary are planted a series of espalier Cherry trees underplanted with wildflowers to attract pollinators.
