Hotel

The Hoxton Hotel is an award winning 208 room hotel in Shoreditch, London, marketed as a “luxury budget” product. Following the success of our original concept room in 2010, Project Orange was approached to design a new room to further develop the idea of Shoreditch style and urban comfort.

With its concrete wall, 1950's timber block floor, vintage desk, ultra modern armchair and turquoise velvet curtains this room is a comfortable but edgy collection of pieces that speaks of casual luxury. All are crafted and made with care. The fabric of the bed head is the signage from an old East End Barbershop, while the chrome yellow desk chair is a design classic updated in this super-bright colour. The Project Orange designed desk, made by Benchmark, has a vintage feel and is hard to place as new or old. Next to the desk is a bespoke wicker box containing the kettle and mugs – an urban hamper. The black wooden walls add a timeless sense of sophistication. With no downlights in the bedroom the lighting is much more ambient and controllable by the guest. And at night the bed appears to hover, lit from beneath.
