Project Orange has designed distinctive offices for the Apeejay Surrendra Group in a Grade II listed building on London's prestigious Portland Place. The offices, for one of India's largest privately owned companies, fuse a modern business identity with the company's Indian heritage.
Set against period features such as large sash windows and original fireplaces, the generous meeting room combines graphic blocks of bold colour with iconic pieces of contemporary furniture. Striped light mocha and silver wallpaper is collaged with Tom Dixon's Wingback chair, Florence Knoll's Nero Marquina topped Table Desk and Capellini's Cuba sofa upholstered with Maharam's Paul Smith striped fabric. Project Orange designed a hand-tufted rug with an Indian inspired motif and a handmade Indian mirror to compliment the space.
In the lobby, a custom made oak and white Carrara marble topped reception desk sits in front of a full height high gloss lacquered storage wall. The lobby is populated by a collection of furniture to designs by Project Orange and handmade in India.
