Triangle, King’s Cross

Sector

Residential

Triangle is a new mixed use development by Argent, which forms part of the works immediately surrounding King’s Cross station in London. The development houses 218 apartments and a mix of retail, social and cultural functions as well as a community ecology garden. The sloping triangular site is bound on two sides by the new Thameslink Line to the North, and the existing East Coast Mainline to the East.

The client’s brief was to develop an interior design proposal for the residential apartments of these buildings as well as for the spaces shared by residents on the public-facing ground floor. This includes shared working spaces, a lounge, screening room, gym and shared dinning and kitchen area.

The design concept is simple and relates to the idea of ‘Natural Home’. Through this we bridged the threshold between the natural, green aspects of the site and brought this into the spaces within the buildings. The palette of natural materials is comfortable, honest and gaphic.
