This project for a new three bedroom home occupies an extraordinary site on the banks of the village pond at the heart picturesque Westleton in Suffolk. The proposed house replaces a redundant garage building. Designed to evoke a simple boat house or quayside building the mass is broken down into an informal grouping of laconic pitched roof forms. On varying geometries these take advantage of the site as it slopes down to the water. A dramatic four metre high living room with views out across the water lies at the heart of the scheme.
